Saturday we went to Mudthaw.  This was my first SCA event in 6 1/2 years and Jim's first event ever.  I got to catch up with bunches of old friends that I haven't seen in a while.  I saw one that I didn't even know was heavily invested in the SCA.  It was very enjoyable event for me especially in that respect.

Tomorrow is my birthday.  Today we celebrate.  This morning we have spa appointments.  In addition to a massage I am scheduled for a haircut and color.  I haven't had a good haircut for many years now so I am both looking forward to it and apprehensive.  I've been holding off on doing my color myself for the last few weeks because I knew I had the ( Read more... )

Last night I spotted a mouse.  It ran past me and right into the bedroom.  We cornered it under the wardrobe in a cardboard box and released it in the yard.  I didn't want it in the house but I feel guilty leaving it outside in the freezing rain.  Oh well, not much else I could have done.

Jim sent me flowers at work yesterday. They are very pretty and making my office a much more happy place. Today I brought the camera in so I could take a picture.

Fantastic.  We went to Ame spa in Wayne.  Jim scheduled me for the "Tub and Rub" - sit in a wonderful tub for a half an hour then get a one hour full body massage.  I loved it.  He got a massage and a facial.  He also enjoyed the experience.

We picked up Jim's suits today. As promised pix have been taken. He looks very handsome in them.

Once again words fail me when I want them the most.  I can write dozens of pages on the most mundane academic topics but when it comes to my own feelings I can't expound beyond three words.  I love him.  I want to make it more flowery then that - I want to make it sound as big as the universe because it is, but I only have three little words.     

The last few weeks have been pretty calm.  Work has been more of what work always is.  We've been hanging around the house for the last few weekends because we've been catching up on Babylon 5 since we decided to start buying the discs.  I'm enjoying all that I missed and Jim is realizing how much he missed.  We're into season three so I guess it's ( Read more... )
