The weekend update
Last night I spotted a mouse. It ran past me and right into the bedroom. We cornered it under the wardrobe in a cardboard box and released it in the yard. I didn't want it in the house but I feel guilty leaving it outside in the freezing rain. Oh well, not much else I could have done.
Of course I might never have had a mouse running across the open floor except for the fact that Yzma got locked in a closet last night. I knew something was up in the morning when she wasn't in the bed. I found her in the closet in the game room. She had pulled a bunch of stuff off the shelves but was otherwise unharmed. I got some cattitude from her but she chilled out before long.
The weekend was okay. We got some spackle and sanding done on the outer wall of the new guest room. Aside from that it was sleeping, playing on the Wii and chilling out. Between us we have managed to get about 80% of the way through Rayman's Raving Rabbids. We have found that Jim does some challenges better consistently, I do some others, and a few we work as a team.
The "down" news is twofold. The first part is that I'm sick - I have a stuffy nose type head cold going. It's not awful but it is pretty annoying. The second part is that Jim has to go to his Grandmothers funeral tomorrow. She had a stroke last week and passed away in the hospital Friday. I would be going with him if every other member of my department wasn't on vacation this week but he'll have his whole family there so he'll be okay.
Aside from that it's cold and I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Bleech.
