Blah... blah... blah...

The last few weeks have been pretty calm.  Work has been more of what work always is.  We've been hanging around the house for the last few weekends because we've been catching up on Babylon 5 since we decided to start buying the discs.  I'm enjoying all that I missed and Jim is realizing how much he missed.  We're into season three so I guess it's time to order season 4.  Aside from that I've been trying to stay on top of some of the housecleaning.  While it isn't a complete failure (you should see how much cat hair I found underneath the bed) I still see all the stuff that still needs a good cleaning.  I have allergies, and so does Jim (Hippie probably does too), and I just can't keep the dust and cat hair down enough. I am truly beginning to think that a maid service would be worthwhile investment.   I can handle laundry and windows and all kinds of other stuff.  I just want someone to vac everything and mop the kitchen once a week and mop the rest of the floors once a month.  Anyone have any idea how much that'll cost me?

We went suit shopping for Jim yesterday (his old one doesn't fit as well as it did 10 years ago).  We ended up with the same salesman who helped Hippie get his.  He's getting a dark grey suit and a blue suit.  I know a blue suit is sensible but I didn't think I'd like the way it looks, however I was very happy with the one he did get.  It has a reversing pattern in the weave that gives it a stripe that’s very subtle.  He looks quite handsome in either one.  When the alterations are done and we get them I'll get pics of him and post them.  Now we need to find him a good coat because a pea coat over the whole thing will just ruin the look (I'm not much for fashion but there's some things you just don't do).

For the movie fans on reading this  - we rented "Doomsday"  and I have say it's better then I expected it to be.  I should have known better as it's by the same guy that did "Dog Soldiers" but the best thing about being a pessimist is that you are pleasantly surprised 25% of the time.
