This weekend is Tax-Free Weekend in Tennessee (sales taxes are dropped on clothes and other items to help parents supply their kids' needs for the school year). Dad and I took advantage of it yesterday to get some clothes--and both of us got new cheap pairs of sneakers.

...Don't have no money. Besides pocket change, I guess.

The IRS refused my refund and won't let me appeal anymore, like I did in past years. I guess if I stay this poor they may audit me or something.

Tennessee passed a law a couple years ago to extortcollect use taxes from Amazon.com due to sales to Tennessee residents. I got my statement for 2011 the other day, and thus was pointed to the state website to settle the matter.

A Barrel of Oil is 31.5 Gallons (4032 ounces, or 56 six-packs). Don't ask me who decided this matter.

$97.88/Barrel equals $3.11/Gallon of Crude. Refine it, take stuff out of it, put more stuff in it, add sales taxes and maybe a nickle or two of profits to the individual gas station, and there you have it.

Told you it was useless.
