One of the big decisions I have to make this year is if I am going to pursue qualification as an actual lawyer.

To recap, in these isles, you have to do a 2 year apprenticeship (called a training contract) with a law firm who at the end registers you as a qualified lawyer. No training contract, no qualification.

I hate you. I have my life all working out and plans in motion, then you come along AND SMASH IT ALL TO PIECES EVERY YEAR. This year I have trimmed everything down to the barest of bones, thinking that might help and yet you still manage to muck it all up. Please go bother someone else, far far away from me.

Finishing up the first week of the new job - the job itself turned out to be quite a bit different than what was pitched to me, but the work, ultimately, is easy, the people are laid back and they use macs in the office.
