This morning the herd left me laughing. Walked out to the corral, left the gate ajar so that BooBoo could make a few swipes at the grass growing in the yard now. I go through at least 3 lead ropes a year from stupid things horses back up when tied to the barn. A quick release knot is always important but carrying a knife is the backup plan. His breeding fee was $10,000, his mother alone was 70K, yep at least a 30K horse, just looking for a home because he just don't run fast enough. Horses are dangerous. Asking horses to train for years to over come their rational fears of jumping AND putting a monkey on their back. Dangerous. Have I done this, yep.
