First off is some salmon I bought for roasting. I wholeheartedly prefer sea trout to salmon when cooking(much better taste), but this was some beautiful looking fish.

For Thanksgiving last weekend we picked up a new digital meat thermometer from Superstore. When I was trying to come up with something to make for dinner earlier this week, my partner suggested I get a roast so we could test out the thermometer in our own oven ( Read more... )

so, safeway had tri-tip roast for 2.99/lb which is, to me, an irresistible price for nearly any un-ground beef. i bought myself a roast or two and went about trying to figure out how to cook it. after consulting a few resources i came up with a game plan and thus was cooked:
