I took my husband to lunch at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons yesterday, to celebrate his 40th birthday. The meal was truly incredible. I'm not sure I ever want to eat again, because nothing else could be so amazing!

Here is a recipe I did for brunch today where I used both lavender buds and rosewater to good effect.

Omigod.

This is SO GOOD.

Fortunately, you make it in little, tiny ramekins, so you aren't tempted to sit down and eat the whole batch. But it's beautiful...light, rich, infused with a lavender perfume and a very slight mauve tinge...
