Thank you all for your assistance with the stargazy pie. It was splendid to behold and, apart from a few construction flaws easily fixed next time, thoroughly delicious. It held together adequately when sliced, provided the slice wasn't too narrow.

My family vacationed this year in North Topsail Beach, NC. We rented a house on the quiet northern portion of the island and enjoyed a week of mostly good weather, relaxing sun and time spent on the sand or in our private pool. To say the least, it was a wonderful vacation.
