This year so far is fired; I've been relentlessly ill and tired; I'm having almost as much trouble getting anything done as I was when my foot was broken, which is ridiculous. So it's been kind of abominable, between sickness and sleep disruptions and stress. I'm completely wrapped on my schedule, often unable to sleep at all during the night, or if I manage to get to sleep I typically wake up between 3-4am and can't get back to sleep again ( Read more... )

I've just been sitting around and healing, which is a lot like sleeping. I'm pretty well off the pain killers, though I will still take one at night if I am having trouble getting to sleep and the foot is acting up at all, or in the day if I think I'm going to need to have it down a lot. I'm going in for surgery tomorrow (well later today technically), whee!

Today was a long hard day but I have a rented wheelchair and this knee stroller thing that's actually pretty cool except it steers like a cow, so it's hard to use in the house.  Also it is pretty tiring to use, though not nearly as bad as the crutches.  Carl was an amazing help ( Read more... )

I have been so sick I don't even. I think the proximate cause has been the poor sleep, even though I'm in recovery mode from that, and all of the extra bouncing from a tiggeriffic dog, which I am still getting used to.
