that's something I used to know intuitively, back when I was young and still got to expand my vocabulary exponentially every week. Not so much now, so I have to remind myself of the power language has with little anecdotes like this one:

My birtday was amazingly wonderful. My parents spoiled me. WHich I don't quite know how to react to. I'm shocked. I know it is partly 'moving out' gifts, but still... I passed over into 'spoiled single child' land. It's nice, but a bit wacky. They also took me to Confusion Corner Bar & Grill. My day may have been pretty sucky, but waiting for the bus at 11:30 at night was quite something. I'm kicking myself for not carrying my camera to work today. On the wall of the bus shelter were footprints from a baby. I am pretty certain it wasn't fake. It looked like someone had pressed the feet of a baby up against the frost twice.
