I woke, mouth full of teeth and blood, the memory of lost fangs aching in the pre-dawn. I lifted my head, and saw that the soft morning light was shining in my window - blue and cold with unexpected snow.

Via William Gibson's twitter feed came this compelling bit of musing-accompanied-by-photos: Goodbye BordersIt is about the closing of a well-liked bookstore, and the line that caught me was a throwaway halfway through. So, yeah, I woke up eearly this morning to the cadence of my dream-mind narrating some story it was making up. We're talking public reading style, but with all dialog coming from characters I could 'see'. So, basically, my brain was writing a story, or a chapter in a story, really. Work today involved talking to farmers. A new novelty. It had its frustrations, but work went supah-fast today. THis is good.

Much as I had an awesome brunch and a great day (esp. morning) after my birthday, I mmust say that I didn't feel exactly 100%. I think it's called a 'hangover'. While it wasn't bad, I don't get many. Am I truly getting old?
