I spent Monday sorting out various documents and information in the event of a worst case scenario with this trip or, really, anytime. I feel better now that it's all in place, but it was stressful and heart-wrenching to even consider a situation in which I won't be around for my daughter. Ed and I had made plans for him to be the one to pick Mia up that afternoon, so I was able to hit PetSmart, BJ's and Target all before going to Mane Connection to get my bangs trimmed. Target yielded a wealth of items including on-sale sweaters for both Mia and Ed, perfect for our Christmas card photos, and these PJs for Mia to wear on ( Read more... )

I'm exhausted. I was up until 3 this morning and back up at 7:30 to start loading stuff up and get over to the Harris House for the yard sale. Whewie, what a day.

Mia woke up at 7:30 this morning, which is nigh unheard of for her. I stayed up far too late reading Angry Housewives Eating Bon-Bons and was bleary-eyed for the first thirty minutes while she raced around babbling up a storm, full of sunshine and giggles. Mia's a constant source of amusement for Ed and I. She's recently started saying "no no, Mia, no no," which Ed said makes him feel bad, like that's all we ever say to her.
