It's been ~six weeks since my last LJ post. I swear I haven't fallen off the face of the planet, I've just been sucked into the vortex that is Facebook. I come bearing a recent video of Mia, and hope to eventually get back into the habit of blogging. Someday.

This weekend was awesome.

I was off on Friday and started it off by helping Ed get Mia up and out the door after he'd had a very late night on Thursday. Once they were on the road, I did some more cleaning before going off to get my hair cut. And I do mean Cut.

Mia went to Nighttime Pediatrics last night because the chicken pox that Toni thought she had turned out to be a skin infection. On top of it, she has a horrible cold with a croupy cough ( Read more... )

I spent Monday sorting out various documents and information in the event of a worst case scenario with this trip or, really, anytime. I feel better now that it's all in place, but it was stressful and heart-wrenching to even consider a situation in which I won't be around for my daughter. Ed and I both had a rough week, so I proposed a takeout sushi & Rock Band date night, to which he readily agreed. He took care of picking up dinner from Fuji (the sweet potato roll is a new favorite of mine!) and I took care of bedtime for baby so that he could set up the game. I received a phone call tonight informing me that a family member is in the hospital in very serious condition. They aren't sure he's going to survive his current hospital stay, and he's much too young to go anywhere just yet.

Any thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Friday was Gaming Night for Ed, so I spent the evening reading, relaxing, and then handling the Princess and The Pee when Mia wet her bed because I didn't know she'd taken off her pants and diaper before falling asleep.
