Summer in the bookstore means scads of spoiled preteen summer campers with sticky fingers (I assume, thus I watch like a hawk).  But it also means summer school, and there's some fun classes stuff in the summer.  I loved summer school and did at least one class of it every year.  One of the English classes is doing Macbeth which I flippin love.  ( Read more... )

Exciting times exploring the world of TEFL.  It seems like online or weekend courses just aren't taken seriously by employers.  This means I'll have to go abroad for a 4 week course, so sad.  I've found two different programs that include courses, accommodations, transportation, and lifelong job placement once you've finished.  They both seem ( Read more... )

Remember those window thingys I found in an alley a while back?  Of course you do.  You're enamored with my eccentricities.  Well I decided I wanted to paint them black and put old school looking maps in the panes.  But then I thought, You paint everything black.  Brown is fun, and there's cool scratches and paint streaks on it.  Let it be.

My boss is a really nice guy and a total 40 year old fanboy.  He goes to conventions for Star Wars and all kinds of other stuff on many of his weekends.  Today he had some goodies for us and I got my hands on THIS!

Despite being so freaking needy and greedy this time of year, the college kids are really cracking me up. And yes, I only graduate a year ago, but I'm not the one taking finals. (Woohoo!) I had a fun, relaxing, relatively productive weekend. Ran into my old landscaping boss. The guy is the most badass person you'd ever meet. He's just a regular looking guy, has kids, stepkids, grandkids, and countless adopted kind of kids like me. But he's done the coolest stuff.
