So early Monday morning the 28th I left Michael's before sunrise as he was headed to the office early and I really wanted to hit the road  while there was very little traffic on the road. As I have mentioned before, I have been enjoying slowly getting to know a local man I meet at the lake every Sunday morning, Bill. To refresh, I met Bill several months ago when I was hiking around the lake and he was there with his dogs. He is the primary caregiver for his dad and on weekdays he gets his dad out and they walk around  at Cedar Hill ( Read more... )

I got an update this morning about Doug. Seems the outpouring of love and care for him on Sunday did not wear him out as many had feared, but rather energized him. Hospice now says he is not so much "on the brink" and likely will live through the week and longer.
