We spent a beautiful sunny day in E. , ate way to much and bought tons of fudge. And we got to see some guys in kilts marching through the royal mile, playing their bagpipes and ignoring the biting cold. Someone yelled "Freedom!",  ijinx yelled "Scotland!" and a very scottish moment was had by all.

The meeting in London was great - and, honestly, I was pretty surprised about that. But the people were awesome and while they were lovely last year, this year felt a lot more productive - maybe because we were a really small group. I survived my first year of teaching. Hooray. And I think, most of my students did too. The last teaching-weekend was spent at a beautiful estate, where we didn't see any salmons but drank an enormous amount of tea and red wine and the students successfully wrecked the drawing room.

I decided, I am in love with my landlord. He. is. amazing. An artist stuck in off shore work. I asked for a new white bathroom and a new bathroom I got. White. And orange.
