With the term coming to an end (marking!) and Christmas being right there (shopping! crafting!), I doubt I will get to work on my nanowrimo draft before the new year. But - just because I can:

I am nearly out of Chai tea and crisps and transformed my living room into some sort of cookie crumble play ground.

But I finished some troublesome scenes today, tortured a guy to death and figured out how I will end the bloody thing. Also, I might be able to actually win this. *glances at word count and pumps fist* I can do this!

I got over my FML-attitude and J. cured me from "the London thing" by calmly telling me about rent prices. So I changed my plan to getting rich first and then move to London. (Always the realist am I not?)

The meeting in London was great - and, honestly, I was pretty surprised about that. But the people were awesome and while they were lovely last year, this year felt a lot more productive - maybe because we were a really small group. And the workshop wasn't a complete waste of time this year either but actually quite helpful. Go us ( Read more... )

So, the weekend before NaNo I was so calm, it was scary. Every time I tried to panic myself  out of this zen-like state (You have to write 50k! In 24 days! 24 days filled with marking and teaching and then there is the trip to London!), I was like: So what? I've got an outline.
