Portobello Cupcakes
I survived my first year of teaching. Hooray. And I think, most of my students did too. The last teaching-weekend was spent at a beautiful estate, where we didn't see any salmons but drank an enormous amount of tea and red wine and the students successfully wrecked the drawing room.
I spent four glorious sunny days in London with clexy_operative where we got a sunburn at the portobello market and tried the Hummingbird Bakery cupcakes - they are unbelievable good and so pretty. I bought the cookbook and will now terrorize the world with my interpretation of their recipes.
I also went to see Four Lions and all I have to say: EPIC WIN. Go watch it!
Tomorrow me and clexy_operative (who - gazing over my shoulder - just told me, she plans on stalking seagulls there same as she did here. I doubt she'll find seagulls in E. but why spoil her fantasy?) will go to beautiful Edinburgh and then the marking will start again. But the silver-lining aka end of term is drawing closer...
