This evening was an ever-so-fine night out in the company of the Gerontaki. We saw Coriolanus at the Uptown SIFF Cinema (where they have real butter on their popcorn) and I've got to say it was the finest film I've seen in quite some time. The bird sightings have been so dismal that even I have lost interest in recording them and last night I was simply exhausted, lacking the ambition to record the paltry handful of finches and chickadees seen. Today's bird count is just embarrassingly and distressingly low. I understand that the Steller's jay was back this morning but I didn't see it and while I heard a northern flicker, I didn't see it either.
