Birds and book, day 57 (very sleepy)

Maybe it's the couple of late-ish nights catching up with me or maybe it was the dullness of the Academy Awards but I'm scarcely able to remain awake just now. Of the Academy Awards I will say that I was inexplicably pleased that Meryl Streep won and I found the bit about the focus group for The Wizard of Oz amusing. Also amusing, though presumably in a less intentional way, was the juxtaposition of the Edith Head quote "A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to show you're a lady" and the dresses worn by Camerone Diaz and Jennifer Lopez as they delivered the award for costume design. Ironical, even.
