 This is the next-to-last time I'll ever be able to use this icon. Next will be for the landing, and then it'll be retired like the shuttles.

I am so jealous of those on my f-list who have gotten to see a launch up close. I've only got to watch them on TV, but that's enough.

 We had rain today! LOTS! Near the house, they are reporting about 2". That's AWESOME. Not so awesome for my body, since it's felt like I was run over by an 18-wheeler, then he backed up over me, and ran over me again.  First, Endeavour is home! Safe and sound, and for the final time. I'm glad that the tile damage spotted early in the flight was all cleared and everything was safe for landing.  I'm happy to watch Endeavour launch for the final time this morning. I went to sleep at about 3am, and set my alarm to wake me at 7, 7:15, and 7:30, just to make sure I'd wake up before launch at 7:56am. Thankfully, I woke up as soon as my first alarm went off - it's set to play the Lady Gaga station on Pandora, which generally gets me with a Gaga ( Read more... )
