1,001 books to read before you die

I need to read a good book soon. I'm still suffering intense guilt over having read all four Twilight books recently. It's akin to binging on cheetos or something. Total crap. I liked it, but I shouldn't have, and swear I won't do it again.

I'm trying to start taking some pictures again with dpchallenge. One of the topics this week is Dr. Seuss. I'm sure there are going to be a ton of pictures about red fish, blue fish, cats in hates, or green eggs and ham. I don't want to do something obvious. Thank you neroli! I had a mysterious package waiting for me when I got home today. That was really so, so kind and generous of you to help me with this birthday gift for a child you don't even know. The book is beautiful and so shiny and new and I want so much to keep it for myself!!!

I mentioned this book a few entries ago. My dad, via my grandmother, found my old copy and gave it to me. Since I don't have a scanner in Oregon, I wanted to use my dads to make a post to storybookland. Oh my god, that took forever and was the biggest waste of my last afternoon in Colorado. Things are pretty mellow here. I'm mostly just hanging around reading books. My mom only has dial-up internet (!!!) but that frustrates me enough that I'm not willing to spend much time online so it's probably a good thing. Maybe I should look into dial-up for myself... My mom's computer is a bit on the old-fashioned side -- dial up internet and an inability to load pictures. All the photos on my friends list look like the photo posters where thousands of little photos make up a pixelated George Bush or whatever.
