That is, dyed my hair an unusual colour. At the moment, it's a deep blue-violet (Special Effects brand, "Electric Blue"). I have received more compliments and favourablle comments about my hair since I started this than ever. It's amazing! We're picking up meds for Neil, as well as more lancets. They've changed how they give out the lancets for blood sugar testing so one has to specifically ASK the doctor for them. Why? Who knows? And omeprazole no longer requires a prescription. All over-the-counter now ( Read more... )

This weekend was our twenty-first anniversary, and we spent it with Helen and Allan in Santa Cruz. We drove down Friday. There was some traffic due to graduations, but it wasn't too bad. We had an errand to run this morning, so we were able to swing by the Tea Cosy (my new "fave" shop!), and we had lunch at The Fox and Goose. Neil had fish and chips; I had bangers and mash. Let's see...foot still hurts. Dr. Noe is off the rest of today; seems the doc is getting over a cold. I'm seeing her Monday, and in the meantime, she's prescribed doxycycline, which we can pick up tonight. She wants me to keep an eye on it and go to the ER if it starts getting bad ( Read more... )

Neil only works 4 hours today, and he's off tomorrow so we can visit our friends in Santa Cruz. After dropping Neil off at work, I shopped and had the car's oil changed, which is a very alien experience for me.
