In short, I walked 2 miles yesterday, in aggregate, so I could get the girls licensed. Today, I paid for it; I've been awake for about 45 minutes. My hips are sore. Oh well. Neil only works 4 hours today, and he's off tomorrow so we can visit our friends in Santa Cruz. After dropping Neil off at work, I shopped and had the car's oil changed, which is a very alien experience for me. I was in surgery for my sleeve gastrectomy. When I weighed in, I weighed just a bit over 200 pounds. At the moment, I am maintaining between 145 and 150. Would I do it again? Heck, yeah ( Read more... )

It seems that I am growing a new toenail! How this can be happening is a mystery to myself, Neil and Dr. Noe, but it appears that a new one is growing. Of course, it's growing in at a weird angle, so we are going to "revise" the previous surgery done on that toe, lest it cause me more foot problems, but that won't be until January. I am in the process of making two cheesecakes for a gathering at a friend's house tomorrow: one will be a New York-style cheesecake, complete with sour cream layer on top and accompanied by fruit topping on the side. The Moscow Farmer's Market runs from April until October. They block off several rows of a downtown parking lot and set up stall for vendors.
