I should have done this years ago...
That is, dyed my hair an unusual colour. At the moment, it's a deep blue-violet (Special Effects brand, "Electric Blue"). I have received more compliments and favourablle comments about my hair since I started this than ever. It's amazing! About the only slightly negative comment I've ever received was from a check-out clerk at Smart and Final, who asked what my co-workers thought of it. I smiled sweetly and told him I was retired, but you know...I really don't think there would have been a problem. Sacramento County has no formal "dress code." If one's clothing is plainly inappropriate for work ("booty" shorts, plunging necklines and skin-tight dresses), it's an issue, but hair was never discussed.
Supper was curry - pork, potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic, with a coconut-based sauce, served over thin noodles.
At the moment, we are engaged in a Great Search for light bulbs. Our ceiling fan in the computer room has a bulb out, and we're out of that size.
