Decisions, decisions. I have kept the chickens cooped up in their run since last fall when Cleo was killed and then a week later Little Comfort was attacked by the same hawk. In the beginning I think they were glad to be kept in and knew it was safer there. Then winter came and it was all ice and snow and frozen ground - nothing to eat outside ( Read more... )

I've been wearing my hair back in a pony tail for days now and when this morning I let it loose and looked in the mirror I was delighted by how nice it looked to have a nice, full, long mane framing my face. So my decision for now: find ways to spice it up (and keep me cool and simple) with pony tails, hairbands, braids and just keep my long hair. ( Read more... )

Today I go to Erie to see a heart specialist about having the loop recorder implanted. I haven't decided yet if I want to do this - I could go either way. I spent the morning writing down the episodes of funny heart beats I have had this year by looking them up in my journal so I could take that with me. A free day. Nothing planned. I could walk the dog - by myself. Would I dare? I have a little fear of him when we are outside. He could go into his crazy thing where he starts to bite the leash and bite the hand that holds the leash. That is why I previously gave up walking him anywhere by myself.
