For the next stage I need to either sew them together or crochet them together. I'm thinking I have two options that will work. Either use the same kind of yarn that is in the squares to crochet them together (a more toned down look but there will be raised lines at the joins), or use a thinner red yarn to sew them together with funky, obvious stitches (a flatter end result and one bright color). OR maybe I have another option - sew them together with invisible stitches in the back using a neutral color. Boring? I like the second idea. Though I'm kind of afraid to commit to the sewn piecing in case I don't like it. The crocheted piecing could be easily pulled out if I don't like it. Maybe I'll sleep on it. I might get out my books on pin loom weaving and read about methods of joining again....

Later.
I guess I'm committed now.
