I’ve been home for a week and it’s been wonderful! For the first time this week, I got the children to school on-time Friday making me feel like I was finally over all the traveling. Today concluded two weeks of intensive training here in Essen, Germany. Beginning last Monday, I’ve learned a lot, had many previously understood details clarified, discovered new ways of doing tasks, and made new friends. I don’t really mean what’s written in the subject field; I’d love to see the Rockies win the World Series and bring back some notoriety to Colorado. The entire ticket purchasing fiasco has been a joke with yesterday being poor planning and today being the biggest waste of time ever.

The Colorado Rockies beat the Philadelphia Phillies 2 to 1 this evening. It was a very close game-a pitcher’s duel. The Arizona Diamondbacks are a great team but with the steam the Rockies are coming in with and the we want this and not the we deserve this attitude I think they’ll have it. I hate it when I haven’t posted in a few days; too much to recap and there’s always something forgotten. Maybe I’m getting old or at least more gray. Maybe all those gray hairs are ruining my memory. Colorado Rockies win!!! 9 to 8 against the Padres in 13 innings! GO ROCKIES!

Yes, Play-In, as the Colorado Rockies are playing the game in about an hour which will decide whether or not they'll be in the play-offs. Since moving here in 1999 no team has gone anywhere with the Rockies being the biggest disappointment. If they make it to the play-offs it will reaffirm my love for baseball. 57 minutes to the first pitch.

Woke up at 4:45, took a quick shower to aide my waking up, and went downstairs to eat a small bowl of cereal.  Filled my water bottle with thirty-two ounces of water, put my shoes on, opened the front door, and was greeted quickly greeted with a 23°F chill.  Sat down in the car, turned it on, contemplated if I was ready to depart on my four ( Read more... )
