I’ve been home for a week and it’s been wonderful! For the first time this week, I got the children to school on-time Friday making me feel like I was finally over all the traveling. I took Friday off leading to Tyler and I seeing
Ironman (in a digital theater). The movie was wonderful, lots of action, suspense, and humor, with impressive sound effects that shook the theater. Regrettably, we didn’t stay in the theater for what remained after the credits. Many blogs and journals I read disclosed a post-credit finale yet they wouldn’t document what was shown. I’m guessing I need to see it again!
We went to a
Colorado Rockies baseball game Saturday night. Sadly, they lost again. The
Los Angeles Dodgers have been playing quite well this season but the season is just getting under way and the Rockies never start the season strong. They were the underdogs last year; maybe they’ll shine as they did last year and reach the
World Series. Many will tell me that I can keep on dreaming, and I will, but the
Angels (I’ll never call them anything but the Angels) won the World Series once and that was sufficient for me.
Tomorrow starts a completely new workweek for me. I have a lot to finish in a short amount of time. One of the big projects I’m working on requires a lot of focus. I should be finished with it by week’s end as it has a firm completion date of June 15. Next Saturday is my birthday and just like every year since I turned thirty, it’s just another year. I have only one plan for my birthday: to enjoy a few scoops of Gold Medal Ribbon from
Baskin-Robbins. My birthday present, a combination present from Jessica and my parents was an
iPod Touch that I brought to Singapore with me. Now all I need is an
iPhone, but I’ll wait until the 3G iPhone is available in June or July.
