The thick of it. Remembering what it feels like to exist largely on caffeine, to divide one's day into marathon stretches if time at the library punctuated by meal breaks. Real classes start tomorrow, which of course comes with mixed feelings. Winter study is a magical time, and dead week can be even more magical in some ways, but it also involves a lot of down-time and alone-time. I may have just finished my 12 page report (single space, so in school year terms that's 24), which is pretty exciting! It's been really interesting to just write one paper for an extended period of time, because as much as professors tell you to reread, proofread, revise, etc, there's just no way you can do that adequately during the school year ( Read more... )

Now that the fervor surrounding the Women's Center's positive sex week seems to be over, I think this is an appropriate time for some reflection. Overall, I am glad that the events did much to spark conversation on campus; that's really all it was meant to do.
