Overall, research week one went very well. We're making quick progress so far, and we already have over 65 samples, which is exciting. I'm trying not to think about how many hours in front of a microscope that will translate into. I'm back from Montana as of late yesterday evening (thanks to some plane delays, of course). I am absolutely delighted to be wearing a skirt and tank top instead of field pants and a grimy t-shirt, and I suspect the novelty won't wear off for a good few days, so I plan to revel in it.
