laid down the second layer of soil and planted broccoli and carrot seeds... come October I'll stick some garlic bulbs in and pray to the harvesting gods this all works out... hahahaha. I am so excited ♥ kind of went the method I tried remembering my grandfather using... throw down a row of seeds, leave a space, throw down another row of seeds, etc ( Read more... )

spent nearly 6 hours digging, putting in perimiter, and plotting topsoil for my raised garden bed... it still needs another layer of topsoil to complete but at least it's done. Also did a leveling-off layer of topsoil for a second, smaller raised bed... that will be the next project ( Read more... )

So it seems my area is zone 6b for planting... gotta remember that!

Ordered my broccoli, carrots, onions, sage, thyme, parsley, basil, strawberries, marjoram, basil, catnip, peppers, and pea seeds. Need to find where the HELL I get raspberry and blueberry seeds. general planning for expanding/reworking my garden for next year... the current one I have is a "test run", and so far it's working pretty well, all things considered! [my marigolds are going splendidly, my herbs are producing like MAD, and I have about 10-12 tomatoes growing nice and big. &heart; Also my trailing annuals recovered tremendously ( Read more... )
