One of my favourite parts of this show is the characte concept r of the Avatar.  Specifically, how the Avatar can be male or female.

I just love this so much for what it says about gender. This is one person reincarnated, but their gender switches over and over again. This way, the writers highlight what’s important about a person is who they are, ( Read more... )

Just a thought on Debate 109.  This pissed me off first time around too.  Why didn't anyone argue against innate characteristics!!  People aren't inherently anything!  It shocks me that two intelligent people like Annie and Jeff aren't in favour of nurture over nature.

So.  My exam is in about an hour, and I had to prepare an essay on a concept.  Mine was truth, and I aim to argue how it doens't exist.  :O  Let's see how I do it...
