Was planning on going to Bega this weekend, but I'm having second thoughts, strong ones, not to go. So I think we may pass on that. There's plenty to do in Canberra this weekend, particularly get our house ready for moving.

I went to Soundwave yesterday. I think an adequate description would be "bullshit hot". It must have been closing in on 40 degrees, and I have not been well the last few days. I'm still in a concerned phase that I may have contracted malaria while we were in PNG, as it is a malaria infested area. I don't recall getting bitten by any mosquitos ( Read more... )

So I canned my plans to head to Bega tonight and am having a relaxing night in. I just ate some dinner and I'm drinking a couple of beers. It's going well so far. I woke up this morning with quite a sore head. I was glad to find there were not many marks left on my face from my altercation with the security guard. I had my last day working at Railway today, it's been a blast working there, it's a really great hostel, everyone is super friendly. I'm really glad I had my time there.
