It just doesn't seem that easy
So I canned my plans to head to Bega tonight and am having a relaxing night in. I just ate some dinner and I'm drinking a couple of beers. It's going well so far. I've started work on Issue 6 of my zine. I was just writing up some show reviews and I was really struggling to think of any shows that I had been to lately. I think I've been to 2 or 3 since I've been back, and nearly all of them, I've either just seen one band, or left midway through the show. I'm hoping to have it done in the next couple of weeks...once I get into it, I generally get them done pretty fast.
I am feeling nice and chilled tonight. I just had a call from the hostel, I thought maybe I had fucked something up, but in fact, they just wanted my advice on buses, as I am a bus expert. When I started out at the hostel I really fucked a lot of things up, but I had great local knowledge and a good idea about the buses. These days I am really a total expert on things like that, on other hostels, as I have stayed in a lot more than most of the other staff.
So this Terror ticket that I mentioned I arranged to buy from some guy in Sydney, it turns out it's a Moshtix ticket, so I guess I will need something to change the details. I'll see how that goes. Seeing Terror Friday, Templestowe Saturday. Should be a pretty fun weekend. Although I have to work after each of them, it's my weekend now.
I think it was definitely a good move to not go down the coast. I was going to have to spend an extra couple of hours on the bus, due to snow on the road (it's the middle of spring!). I wasn't that keen, so I organised a refund.
There's some cool stuff coming up ahead. Break Even next week, Poison The Well in Sydney the week after, Gold Kids, I hope I get to most of them.
