I'm in Buffalo for the weekend, prepping my mother's house for sale.  Today was errand running.  A couple of weeks back, I bought a coffee table book on Antique Firefighting Equipment from the Fredonia Library Used Book Sale.  For $.25  This morning, I donated it to the Buffalo Firefighter's Museum. It's been a busy weekend, I'm not sure it counts as productive.

Thurs eve -- We did ALL the laundry that has been slowly accumulating.  In the course of going back and forth to the car, I tripped on a couple of concrete steps and took a tumble.  I was wearing sandals which went flying.  I got the kind of scrapes your average ten year old acquires ( Read more... )

I now know whether it's possible to OD on blacksmithing.  Yes, apparently 16 hours out of 48 is way past my limit.  This past weekend was Maker Faire at the Buffalo Museum of Science. There's a nice little event in Coppertree that I would love to go to.  I even have the Friday before it off as a work holiday, so I could drive four hours on Friday, spend the day at the event on Saturday and drive home four hours on Sunday... Except it's Easter Sunday and I'm spending it with my mother. 

My wife's favorite holiday was earlier this week... Feb. 15th Half Price Chocolate Day!  I don't understand store pricing.  Small assortments and bulk candy were 50% off.  But large valentine box assortments were $.50 off.  I would think that the latter would be harder to get rid later in the year.  But, no matter, we bought enough to satisfy our ( Read more... )
