I think I have figured out one of my fundamental problems with the Unified Process. When I am doing initial design work (not counting UI design, which is a totally different task), I tend to view things from the point of view of the system, usually the core orchestration component(s). Simply Marvelous.

Things that are not fun to deal with right after waking up:

• Finding one of your machines has gone unresponsive.
• Finding you need to move your fridge in order to reboot that machine.
• Finding the AFP server didn't come back online correctly.
• Finding that the BDB file afpd uses has become corrupted.
• Finding you have no idea how to recover a BDB database.

For those that care, Python 2.5 was released this morning.

So in my normal nightly watching of IRC (I answer support questions on #trac a lot of the time), I got $50. Someone said they would pay me to setup Trac on their server. So for 1 hour of work, I got teh m0n3yz.

Okay, it seems someone needs to lay down some ground rules for student-developed software. If we all follow these simple rules, I think everyone can get along a little better.
