UP Problems
I think I have figured out one of my fundamental problems with the Unified Process. When I am doing initial design work (not counting UI design, which is a totally different task), I tend to view things from the point of view of the system, usually the core orchestration component(s). UP, on the other hand, seems to push more toward designing from the POV of either a user, or interested third party. I am not trying to say one way is better than the other, but it does make it hard to put my design thought in a UPish document a lot of the time.
