last night after we all went to sleep, Kay kept snuggling up to me on the futon. i usually put my arm around her, but i felt that she was awfully hot around the neck. since our nights are pretty hot, i didn't think too much about it, but in the morning after she woke up crying, i immediately knew that my baby had a fever. it was up around 39.6 ( Read more... )

Kay has been left at home with her daddy all this week while i taught, because of some careless mom in our playgroup who thought it was okay to bring in a feverish child who ended up having hand foot and mouth disease...

this was confirming my fear of what i was saying earlier about the enterovirus. don't think i'll be taking her to play in public areas anymore... for the rest of this month. if this doesn't calm down soon or whatnot, we'll be staying in a whooole lot more during the next few months...

i dunno what i ate or drank to let her stay up all day today... x_x maybe it's from all that sleep she got last night after zonking out early at 8:00... she woke up this morning at 8:30 and stayed wide awake all the way til 4:30-ish. if it wasn't for the small walk i took her on, she probably wouldn't have napped at all. goodness, talk about ( Read more... )
