so ya, much like last year, financial aid awaits my approval. after going to the FA office to have them help me decline the loan i got it figured out this year. :D done and done. and now back to work

So one of my Aunts came to Houston for the first time, this past weekend, and the first time we have seen her in 10 years. I only had some of Friday to see her, as my mom drove me to a class orientation on the other side of town, and then after the orientation we went shopping and got dinner.

yay my only day off this week, i so proud of myself for using time wisely and getting most of the homework done, like i planned, and i didn't goof off too much :p

also i made an 83 on the last (2nd) spanish test! wooh me!

ok so semester started officially today so decided to log into government (did i mention it is govt 2? and that i dread being bored to tears?)

so i happened to check the HCC website / my school email today. good thing because it looks like i have some financial aid for the next two semesters. I have to accept it by july 15th two days away a heck of a lot sooner than last year. problem: it included a loan....i don't want a loan and can't figure out how to accept the grant and not the loan ( Read more... )

hate college

I have been saying for the past couple years, college will find a way to suck the joy out of everything! normally i love writing, now if i have to write a essay on something rather boring, say the electoral college i don't love it as much, but i have come to realize i still find joy in expressing myself the way i do. and I HATE how ( Read more... )

its been like this all semester but until recently i haven't been able to put it into words.

so lets say we have 3 exams (not including the final) to take in this semester of government. the first exam nearly everyone does pretty horrible, so much that teach gives a grading curve. and then says that anyone who didn't make an unscaled A on that exam ( Read more... )

registered for 2 classes this semester. i don't "want" to go to class, but in all other aspects, i am ready

financial aid finally worked the way it was supposed to. I registered for class and then within the next 2 days, the classes were paid for. DONE!

so since 8/28 ( 2 months! for a total of 3 since i was notified that i was being awarded a grant!
