I honestly feel so blessed and fortunate to have met so many people this year that I can speak to on a regular basis and call my friends. I have made a lot of new friends this year and have seriously expanded my social repertoire. I'm growing up. 

May is a month of many birthdays for my friends…today I went to a restaurant + bar for my friend and roommate's birthday. I really miss my friends who are abroad. It's not a soul-crushing, angst-ridden kind of missing but it's acute and daily enough for me to really notice their absence in my life. As much as I love tumblr, it's actually fucking awful sometimes and way more tiring than social media ought to be. Coming back here is like kicking my feet up and taking a nap in a comfy chair, and for that, I thank you livejournal.
