     A few people on my FL have had their husbands deploy within the last couple of months. It has been hard to read the entries because there is always something in them that reminds me of saying goodbye to Chris.      Friday evening was the FRG meeting. When I got there I set to work on barracks stuff for the single soldiers until I was called into the meeting room. Once we were all assembled we were given a run down of dates for the next few months including the specific day and time for their return! Today marks a whopping 13 months since Chris left. Yippeee.

     As I previously posted I had a very nice Valentine's Day. I am hopeful that next year we will be spending it together. We've only spent 2 out of 6 Valentine's Days together. Two other years we did celebrate Valentine's Day but a bit before the 14th. I suppose we'll wait and see what next year holds for us.

     I had a nice date with Chris this morning. Then I ran a couple of errands and when I checked the mail there were two letters from my hubby. It is nice to get snail mail  :o)
     I have sent out 2 requests for donations for the FRG to our family and friends. I just got a cheque from Chris' uncle. I was shocked at the amount and I'll be happy to ( Read more... )

     ...right away. I am actually wearing a pair of Chris' track pants because I ran out of comfy pants and my jeans are all dirty. Jessica called me this morning and asked if I'd be able to pick her up from the Austin airport this afternoon. So I pulled myself together using Chris' pants and one of his hoodies.      24 hours. It was just a couple minutes before 3pm yesterday when I said goodbye to Chris. That's when he disappeared down the tunnel into the plane. I stayed with him on the secure side of security. We waited until he was almost the last soldier left to board.
