Well, this was the wild weekend of doom- home for less than 24 hours, in which I saw Baby Brother John's TWO plays, actually had the chance to talk with both my parents, saw my grandmother, and then left.

Funniest Arabic class ever today- the guy who's already sort of the class clown showed up drunk and very, very cheerful. Which resulted in a) him making a running commentary of randomness, b) a discussion of how to say "pimp" in Arabic, and c) him speaking in an insane combination of Arabic, English, and Spanish that was oddly similar to my home ( Read more... )

I had an awesome Arabic class today- there was a guest professor, who's interviewing for a job in the AMEL department, and the rest of the department heads were in there observing, but instead of being stressful, it got rather silly. It's funny, the things that put me in a good mood. The first sort of funny thing was someone in Arabic saying, "I used to be a student, but now I have become a table."

And then, in Bio, I got to hold a human brain! Hee! I'd forgotten how much I really do miss all the cool parts of taking biology classes.

I got a surprisingly really substantial amount of work done today. I love sudden bursts of productivity.

Apparently scorflam is a made-up word. :-)

Arabic vocab is making my head explode. I need to be doing something in which I LEARN the words, like using them, not just trying to memorize off flash cards.
