I have just decided that this summer will be an epic event, for the following reasons:

1. 100 Children's Books/Works: My goal is to finish 100 works in order to brush up on my classic and contemporary knowledge of children's stories. For a working list of my to-reads, or if you want to submit suggestions, take a look at the list under the cut

I should probably have the goodwill to read through my flist about all of your fantastic new year's resolutions, but--er, well, one of my resolutions is to stay more on track (har har--see below), so I think I'll post here and just ask what you guys have in mind for this brand new 365-day span :D

I realized that I completely neglected (can't say "forgot"--that would be an overt fib) to update on my July goals. This is, of course, all for myself, but if any of you have goals that you've been working on this summer, I'd love to hear them as well :) nothing like one aspirer to inspire another, right?

I just finished watching Julie & Julia. It reminded me 1) to write in this (dearly neglected) blog, 2) that inspiration can be found around every corner, 3) to find something I can really throw myself into and make worthwhile, and 4) how much I wanted a snack (for those of you who haven't checked in here in a while--not that I do anything here ( Read more... )

The event is finally over. Nothing blew up or anything, so even though it wasn't spectacular, we still got a lot of help, and it was pretty good.

In the wake of that, I feel like I can take on what this week is throwing at me, which is a lot, but at least I can be in (semi-) control of it!

So I feel a little bit better about my writing now, even if the positive comments were enough to trump the not-so-great ones any day ^___^ I guess I just needed a few days to let it sink in.
