It's hot as hell today - as it was yesterday.  The farm stand went well and after we hung out in the bar, eating pizza, goat cheese, and  a salad I made from the left-over double-head of lettuce we forgot to sell. Not only has the weather been weird, but we've had more power and internet outages. This is getting really out of hand. As I mentioned earlier, Sunday it was in the 70's F and Monday it snowed.  My online weather reports called it "R/S showers" (rain and snow, sadly), but it was much more "S" than "R." More snow last night!  We went to Sol's to brew beer (it was like a mini brew party) and it snowed the whole time. I wish I'd had my camera because the world was utterly gorgeous.

This morning, however, the sun came out and everything is extraordinarily bright. It's like being inside of the sun. If the sun were cold.

1) We had yet another snowstorm yesterday. We got several inches down here and this morning looked like proverbial winter wonderland but, considering this is northern New Mexico, all the south-facing bits are melting. Well, the fire near Los Alamos is becoming more and more contained - well, at least it isn't growing! How much danger we're in depends upon who you talk to. The US Government swears that all the nuclear waste is safe in underground bunkers but numerous nuclear activists, eye-witnesses, and Democracy Now disagree. OMG! It is sooooo hot. It's probably only in the low 90's, but it feels a lot hotter. This has been going on for almost two weeks and it's unseasonable and getting very, very old. Well, the wind has finally changed direction, blowing the majority of the smoke away from us. Last night I woke-up around 3:00AM and actually saw stars for the first time in days. It was lovely.
