Not only has the weather been weird, but we've had more power and internet outages. This is getting really out of hand. More snow last night!  We went to Sol's to brew beer (it was like a mini brew party) and it snowed the whole time. I wish I'd had my camera because the world was utterly gorgeous.

This morning, however, the sun came out and everything is extraordinarily bright. It's like being inside of the sun. If the sun were cold.

1) We had yet another snowstorm yesterday. We got several inches down here and this morning looked like proverbial winter wonderland but, considering this is northern New Mexico, all the south-facing bits are melting. Well, it finally snowed! Everyone here has been freaking out about the over-long fall (especially for the sake of the Ski Valley) and now the snow is finally here. Meh. Now I have to shovel for Bob. Shoveling snow is like the opposite of Bikram Yoga. Instead of holding painful positions in 100 degree heat, you move in painful positions in 10 degree weather.

Shoveling snow should also be a Winter Olympic Sport. You could have solo, pairs, or team shoveling with extra points for building safe and interesting mounds and snow walls. Fans would ( Read more... )
