You know, carrying a 50lb pack isn't easy. But that pack went 10,000' up (leaving bits of weight behind). Just missed out on the final thousand.

I went hiking on Saturday with 9 others. We quickly covered the first 4.5 miles in under two hours, before stopping by the lake. Yet, this was only a start.

On Saturday, I went out climbing for snow travel practice. I thought the plan was go up a short distance (1-2 miles, 1000' gain) and practice ice axe arrest, etc.

Two weeks ago, I was part of a small group that attempted Mt Adams. This past weekend, I lead a larger group on Mt St Helens.
