So it's over, I'm officially a qualified teacher and will very soon be let loose on young, impression children without the L plates. So somehow I've managed to survive my first term of my teacher training, along with completing my first teaching practice and catching the flu for the first time along the way. I even managed a weekends away to visit Ellwood and then Louby, didn't miss a single match or miss a single episode of Hollyoaks. The latter was as much of an achievement ( Read more... ) -

PGCE is going well. It's very tiring and the days are long but since I've been working full time for two years I'm used to long days. It's really obvious that some people have come straight from 8 hours a week degree courses as there's a hell of a lot of whinging about the lack of breaks and short lunch times. Start my teacher training tomorrow, am officially bricking it but also a sense of nervous excitement. Will be so good to get back to Durham and to be a student again, my biggest hurdle won't be the work or the early mornings but having to live on £100, Glindon was not meant to be poor and doesn't really understand the word 'budget.' Yay, have just booked Russell Brand tickets for January in Geordie Land. You can tell that Russell's made it big now; he's no longer appearing in the Boro!

- Jo and Glenn got married, the extended weekend we took as quite possibly the most fun I've had with my clothes in since getting back from Australia

I've finally passed my driving test! It only took me five bloody tests, but I think I'll be a better driver for it. So now I'm buying a car, a nice little second hand runaround me thinks.
