Is anyone else watching Low Winter Sun? A good show filmed in Detroit. I never read the book. I liked Detroit 187 more although I admit the plots are completely different.

Still going to the fitness center, at least three times a week. Although I spend 2 hours on the elliptical machines and/or the treadmill and use the other various weight machines I am not making much progress getting in shape. Very discouraging. In the health department while at work one night last week I again hooked up a telemetry pack to myself and did an EKG. Heart rate was 62 bpm, T-waves are still too high. I really need to keep a food journal. Certain foods give me a very bad headache. Last night it felt like someone took a hot stabby thing and shoved it in my forehead above my right eye, through my brain and out the back of my skull. Been on the thyroid medication 4 and 1/2 days. It is supposed to be taken in the morning on an empty stomach about 1/2 to 1 hour before breakfast. But because of my work schedule, "breakfast" is around 5:30 or 6:00 pm, so I take it sometime between 3:30 and 4:30 pm, depending on when I happen to wake up having to pee. Nurse Priya: You should eat chicken livers.
Me (wrinkles face is semi disgust): Yeah, I don't know if I could eat the livers.
Priya: Oh, yes! It's the same as eating the rest of a chicken. It's just tougher to chew. And more rubbery.
Me (sarcastically): Ohh, well, tough and rubbery sounds yummy!

I just went swimming in my clothes. I never got around to trying to buy a bathing suit. For the last few days I have been walking over to the apartment complex office/clubhouse to borrow the wifi and the pool is around the back so I have been spending much of the time at one of the tables. Went out with some since High School BFFs. We had a hilariously fun time. I've not laughed that hard in quite a while. (Note to dragonwrangler : sorry I don't have your phone number, we totally wanted to see if you could hang out, too. We even suggested trying to sneak into RU and sit on the gymnasium steps :D)
